The Portland AC and Lake Oswego-Dunthorpe AC jointly began the Young Alumnae Group in Fall 2007, under direction of our former Regional Membership Director, Mari Lou Diamond. This great group focuses solely on the newest alumnae to the area--those sisters who are five years or less removed from their home chapters--as a way to learn about the Portland area, meet up with sisters at the same stage in their careers and lives, and to network with other younger alumnae sisters.
Young Alumnae Chair, Erin Swartsley, plans events--along with other YA--to promote sisterhood in a laid-back and fun atmosphere. Happy Hours, Blazer games, and dinner events have been lots of fun and successful, thanks to all the Young Alumnae in the area! Members get to learn about both alumnae clubs and receive information about upcoming events for both the Portland and LO-Dunthorpe clubs with no pressure or expectations.
If this sounds like you, drop Erin a line and ask to be added to her email list! Even if you're slightly outside the "five year" plan, everyone is welcome. If you're new to he area, this is also a great place to find out more about the area and meet sisters who can help you learn the city and stay connected to Pi Phi.
