We are pleased and honored to celebrate 95 years of service, sisterhood, and fun in the Portland area! Chartered in September 1914, the Portland Alumnae Group has been going strong ever since, bringing women from all chapters together to form lifelong friendships in the Portland area. We hope you can come to an event this year and make new friends, while reconnecting with Pi Phi sisters and creating new traditions for the next ninety-five years!

Sunday, 23 August 2009, 3:00 pm: Celebrating the "Wine" and Silver Blue at Horseleap Vineyards. RSVP by Friday, 21 August, please, to reserve your spot.

Join us for an international region wine tasting at scenic Horseleap Vineyards in Tigard. Wine and complimentary nibbles will be provided; guests welcome. A nominal fee of $5.00 per group, so bring your friends for a fun afternoon, full of wine and friendly competition! We will also be collecting spare change for First Book, so dig through those couch cushions!

Sunday, 20 September 2009: Race for the Cure, Waterfront Park, downtown Portland. Meet point and time TBD.

Wear pink and join us for the 5k walk! We will meet at a central location before the race--look for letters! Bring your strollers or your dogs for a great walk in downtown Portland. Any participants must register beforehand at the Komen Oregon web site, which is $25.00 for the 5k walk. Children under 5 walk or stroll free--ages 6-12 are $10.00. Registration for everyone includes a t-shirt!

Already a participant? Meet for a group photo and a possible coffee date afterwards!

Saturday, 17 October 2009, 2:00 pm: 3rd Annual Recognition Tea, Linda Enloe's Home, Beaverton.

Come together for a day of celebrating sisterhood across the years! We will have tea in the tradition of English High Tea, complete with snacks and conversation. Attendees are asked to bring a new children's book that made an impact on her life as a child for donation to a local charity. Fancy tea hats and lace gloves are optional.

November 2009: Collegian Finals Basket, location/date/time TBA.

Join the Young Alumnae Group for a night of collegian support! We will be assembling study care packages for Oregon Alpha and Oregon Gamma to assist them with the looming winter finals week! Donations of pencils, pens, 4x6 cards, individually wrapped snacks or treats are requested. We will announce the location and date in early fall, so stay tuned!

Saturday, 5 December 2009, 11:00 am: Annual Holiday Luncheon and Silent Auction, Portland Golf Club. Event fee TBD.

Come for an afternoon at the lavishly decorated Portland Golf Club, full of Pi Phi favorites: food, sisterhood, and of course, SHOPPING! Sponsored this year by the always gracious Lake Oswego Club, we are thrilled to once again be a part of this time-honored traditional event. Raffle tickets are also available: $1.00 per ticket, 6 for $5.00.

Tuesday, 2 March 2010: First Book Bookplate Decorating Event, location/time TBA.

Celebrate Dr. Theodore Geisel's, AKA Dr. Seuss, birthday with Pi Beta Phi and First Book! We will be decorating book plates with a local school class and discussing the importance of philanthropy. Wear your striped hat and tap into those creative skills!

Saturday, 24 April 2010, 11:00 am: Founders' Day Luncheon, Waverley Golf Club. Event fee TBA.

Come together for a day of celebrating Pi Beta Phi and our 12 pioneering Founders. Held at the beautiful Waverley Country Club in Milwaulkie, we will celebrate our founders and Pi Phis that came after that continue to uphold their original goals of sincere friendship and sisterhood. Guests are always welcome!
